About Us
Founded in 1993 by Neil and Maria Anderson, Reforestation Technologies International began in a tiny warehouse on the backside of an Airport in Monterey, CA. The company's focus was to provide products and technology to improve regeneration results in forestry and the mine reclamation and erosion control markets. In recent years, the core technologies that focus on soil biology and plant nutrient supply have been adapted to other markets including agriculture, landscape management, and home gardening.
RTI has since moved to a larger 13-acre facility in Gilroy, CA, employing over 40 full-time employees and operating year-round. The company maintains its own R&D department which includes three on-site laboratories, ample research grounds, and two greenhouses to conduct product evaluations and trials. RTI strives to find new ways to improve sustainable horticultural practices with the use of beneficial soil microbes. Employee commitment to the company, production efficiency, product quality, and competitive prices are just a few qualities that set RTI apart from the competition.
